Corporate
Strategy:
AirNet
is committed to focusing its resources on providing value-added time-critical
air shipment and aviation services to a diverse set of customers in the
most service-intensive and cost effective manner possible.
The
Airline
Focus on
unique aircraft type and route structure. AirNet's fast and reliable fleet
of aircraft is positioned around a highly efficient and flexible national
route structure designed to facilitate late pick-up and early delivery
times, minimize delays and simplify flight scheduling. AirNet's hub-and-spoke
system, with a primary hub in Columbus and several mini-hubs across the
nation, allows AirNet to match the varying load capacities of its aircraft
with the shipment weight and volume of each destination city and to consolidate
shipments at its hubs. The hubs are located primarily
in less congested regional airports. These locations, in conjunction with
AirNet's off-peak departure and arrival times, provide easy take-offs
and landings, convenient loading and unloading, and fast refueling and
maintenance. Six strategically located maintenance bases help minimize
aircraft down time. AirNet's focus on Learjets and pistonaircraft has
also enabled it to develop an in-house expertise in purchasing, flying,
maintaining and operating its fleet. The principal components of AirNet's
operating and growth strategy are as follows:
AirNet
will manage the product lines as business units. The business units are
being operated and held accountable for sales and operations on a regional
basis.
Bank
Maintain
a dominant market share of the canceled-check transportation business.
AirNet will identify new product offering with its customers and develop
a more competitive pricing structure that provides its customers with
flexible, volume driven rates.
Express
Grow AirNet's
express delivery service. AirNet will continue to pursue and grow the
wholesale/forwarders, integrators and third party logistic provider market
for opportunities. AirNet will concentrate on its ability to meet the
special handling requirements of such niche markets as radioactive pharmaceuticals
in the medical industry. Additional opportunities exist in the just-in-time
(JIT) segment of the market that have urgent delivery requirements for
parts and related materials.
Aviation
Services
Dedicated
to finding alternatives that increase use of AirNet's airline outside
of the scheduled routes. AirNet has developed an on-demand charter service.
AirNet will position its assets in various areas of the country to best
serve its customers. AirNet will leverage its flight and maintenance expertise
to expand this business unit.
Performance
Culture
Attract,
retain and motivate the highest quality personnel available. As a service
organization, AirNet recognizes the importance of hiring, retaining and
motivating the highest quality personnel available who are focused on
a set of core values designed by AirNet to provide a working environment
where accountability, integrity, quality performance, open communication,
team management and responsibility are explicitly stated goals. AirNet
believes that its compensation and benefit package and corporate culture
will give it a significant competitive advantage in attracting and motivating
its associates.
