Ark Restaurants Appoints Robert
J. Stewart as CFO
NEW YORK, New York -- June 27, 2002 -- Ark
Restaurants Corp., Inc. (Nasdaq: ARKR) today
announced that it has hired Robert J. Stewart
as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Stewart will replace Andrew
Kuruc who resigned in order to pursue other
interests.

and experienced individual such as Robert to
our team," said Michael Weinstein, Chief
Executive Officer of Ark. "I am confident
that Robert will ensure a smooth transition
as well as become a significant contributor
to our future success."
Prior to joining Ark, Mr. Stewart has spent
the past three years at Fortis Capital Holdings,
where he acted as CFO and Executive Vice President.
Prior to Fortis, he held numerous senior financial
and audit positions, both domestically and internationally.
Mr. Stewart, a CPA, graduated from the University
of Dayton in 1980.
Stewart will replace Andrew Kuruc. Mr. Kuruc
decided to leave Ark to pursue other business
opportunities. Mr. Kuruc has been with Ark since
1987.

part of this company for over 15 years. We will
miss him and wish him well in his future endeavors."
Ark Restaurants owns and operates
26 restaurants, 19 fast food concepts, catering
operations and wholesale and retail bakeries.
Twelve restaurants are located in New York City;
9 in Las Vegas, Nevada; 4 in Washington, DC;
and one in Islamorada, Florida. The Las Vegas
operations include three restaurants within
the New York-New York Hotel & Casino Resort
and operation of the Resort's room service,
banquet facilities, employee dining room and
nine food court concepts. Four restaurants and
bars within the Venetian Casino Resort as well
as four food court concepts; one restaurant
is within Desert Passage adjoining the Aladdin
Resort & Casino along with six food court
concepts, and one restaurant within the Forum
Shops at Caesar's Shopping Center.
