Atmos Energy Adds New Member to Customer Advisory Board

DALLAS, Texas -- April 14, 2009 -- Atmos Energy Corporation's Mid-Tex Division today named Lisa Bormaster, publisher of the Dallas Business Journal, to its regional Customer Advisory Board (CAB).

Bormaster took over the helm of the Dallas Business Journal in November 2007 and has a long history of board and community service. She serves on the boards of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce and Junior Achievement of Dallas.

"We are pleased to welcome Lisa to our advisory board," said John Paris, president of Atmos Energy Mid-Tex Division. "She will be an asset to the CAB as we continue to improve customer service and provide more value to our customers."

Bormaster has been named "Woman of the Year" twice, in 1997 and 2005, by the Austin Advertising Society and by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the boards of the Austin Quality Council, the Better Business Bureau, Texas Asian Chamber of Commerce, the advisory board for the College of Engineering of the University of Texas, Junior Achievement, Rotary International, the Courage Center Board of Trustees and others.

"Lisa has the spirit of community service and she brings strong leadership skills and a fresh perspective that can help us to continue to build stronger, more meaningful ties with our customers," added Sandra Doyle, director of public affairs for the Mid-Tex Division.

Bormaster graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She came to Dallas from Minneapolis, where she had served as president and publisher of the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal for 10 years. She previously served for three years as publisher of the Austin Business Journal.

Atmos Energy's Mid-Tex Division established its Customer Advisory Board in October 2004. The CAB provides community guidance about customer issues and market opportunities for the company. The other CAB members are: Denise Bunkley, Gary Cumbie, Charles Eisemann, Lois G. Finkelman, Daniel P. Lopez, Bob Morris, Grace McDermott, Rosa Navejar, Elzie Odom, Edna Pemberton, Angel Reyes III and Jennifer Sampson.
