DALLAS (August 28, 2012) –– Atmos Energy Corporation said today that natural gas prices are expected to remain low and steady throughout the Winter 2012/2013 season bringing another year of affordable heating bills for customers.
“Atmos Energy is also pleased to announce that natural gas supplies are higher than normal, which will mean the continued reliable delivery of natural gas to keep customers warm this winter,” said John Paris, president of Atmos Energy’s Mid-Tex division. “Safe and reliable service is what Atmos Energy provides, and we are ready for winter.”
Natural gas is showing its value as the best fuel choice for consumers in terms of price, reliability and efficiency according to the American Gas Association.
“The AGA’s most recent analysis “The Promise of Natural Gas,” points to a decade or more of relative market stability projected for natural gas,” Paris said. “That is great news for Atmos Energy customers who expect reliable service at an affordable price.”
Customers can still do their part to reduce energy bills even more by taking these extra steps this winter:
