Atmos Energy Increases Annual Dividend

DALLAS, Texas -- November 11, 2008 -- Atmos Energy Corporation (NYSE: ATO) said today that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly dividend increase on the company’s common stock of approximately 2 percent to 33 cents a share. The indicated annual dividend is $1.32. This is the company’s 21st consecutive annual dividend increase.

The dividend will be paid on December 10, 2008, to shareholders of record on November 25, 2008.  This is the company’s 100th consecutive dividend.
