COLUMBUS, Ohio -- April 30, 2007 -- Bob Evans Farms recently announced that its food products sales distribution area will "go international." From humble beginnings making sausage deliveries in a 1949 Studebaker pickup truck to customers in a small region of Ohio, Bob Evans Farms has grown into a food products company with distribution in more than 18,700 grocery stores in 40 states. Now, the company has announced it will soon add Canada to its sales distribution area.

Bob Evans' sausage products will be sold in a chain of upscale supermarkets, Longo's Markets, in Ontario. In addition, about 250 Wal-Marts in Alberta, Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec will begin selling Bob Evans Brunch Bowls, Breakfast Breads and Stuffed French Toast.

The expansion is due to enthusiasm by retailers to have the products available "north of the border," according to Bob Evans Farms Senior Vice President of Sales Skip Larson. "A food broker in Canada has wanted to have Bob Evans food product representation there for a decade," said Larson. "We started working with him and recently got the green light to move forward." Larson noted that the company is in talks with additional Canadian retailers as well.

Bob Evans also recently announced the addition of the Fargo, N.D., market to its food products distribution area. Approximately 70 Hornbachers, Leevers, Chashwise/Coborns, Miners and other independent grocery stores will sell a variety of Bob Evans Sausage and homestyle convenience items.

Bob Evans grocery store products include fresh sausage rolls, links and patties; Bob Evans Express® fully cooked sausage and bacon; grilling sausage; frozen biscuits and dinner rolls; breakfast breads; refrigerated mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, green bean casserole, hash browns and home fries; Snackwiches®, a line of convenient sandwiches; and refrigerated entrees such as Slow Roasted meat loaf, beef stew, pot roast, turkey breast and pork roast, chicken and noodles and chicken salad and frozen entrees such as chicken pot pie.

Bob Evans Farms Inc. (Nasdaq: BOBE) is a leading producer and distributor of pork sausage and a variety of complementary homestyle convenience food items under the Bob Evans and Owens brand names, which are available in 40 states and parts of Canada. Bob Evans also owns and operates 579 full-service, family restaurants in 18 states primarily located in the Midwest, mid-Atlantic and Southeast regions of the United States.
