Huntington Bancshares Incorporated Declares Quarterly Cash Dividend
on Its Common Stock

COLUMBUS, Ohio, January 16, 2007 -- Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (Nasdaq: HBAN) today announced that the board of directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $0.265 per common share. The dividend is payable April 1, 2008, to shareholders of record on March 14, 2008.
