Huntington Bancshares Incorporated Declares Quarterly Cash Dividends
on Its Preferred Stock

COLUMBUS, Ohio – April 22, 2010 – Huntington Bancshares Incorporated announced that on April 19, 2010, the board of directors declared a quarterly cash dividend on its 8.50% Series A Non-Cumulative Perpetual Convertible Preferred Stock (Nasdaq: HBANP) of $21.25 per share.  The dividend is payable July 15, 2010, to shareholders of record on July 1, 2010.
