Huntington To Host September Investor Presentation In New York City

COLUMBUS, Ohio – September 15, 2006 – Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (NASDAQ: HBAN; www.huntington.com) today announced management plans to host a presentation for investors and analysts in New York City on Wednesday, September 27, 2006.  Presentations will include a general corporate review, as well as detailed line of business discussions.  Management will discuss business and financial performance and strategies, and presentations may include forward-looking statements.

The meeting will be held at the Westin New York at Times Square.  Due to space constraints, on-site attendance is by invitation, however, the entire event will be accessible to the public via a live, listen-only Internet webcast.  The presentations will begin promptly at 1:00 p.m. (EDT) and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. (EDT).  All presentations, slides for viewing and printing, and a copy of the agenda will be accessible the day of the event at www.huntington-ir.com.
