Huntington Appoints Stickler To Lead Commercial Real Estate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – March 18, 2009 – Huntington Bancshares Inc. today announced the appointment of Randall Stickler as senior executive vice president and director of Commercial Real Estate (CRE), effective April 16, 2009. In this role he will be responsible for management of the company’s CRE business.

He has a proven track record in commercial banking, and specifically with commercial real estate,” said Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Stephen D. Steinour. “Our commercial real estate bankers will remain in our markets serving clients. This new position at Huntington establishes a company-wide strategy that will allow us to invest in CRE loans across all of the markets we serve. We remain committed to being a local bank, serving our customers in the communities where we live and work. We have worked very hard to provide good customer service in CRE over the years, and will continue to do so.”

With approximately 25 years of banking experience, Stickler has led commercial real estate, middle market, regional banking, professional banking and portfolio management. His experience includes managing large portfolios and growing the CRE business at various banks, as well as leadership of a REIT lending group that provided marketing and loan structure negotiation; management of a real estate capital markets group responsible for originating, underwriting, closing securitizing and servicing Conduit and Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) loans; and oversight of all phases of real estate development, including site selection and design, purchase negotiations, anchor tenant negotiations and financing. After serving in various capacities beginning in 2005, Stickler most recently served as State of Ohio President for Charter One Bank since 2007. He also previously held positions with Chase Properties, Keycorp, Society and Ameritrust. Stickler earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Business Administration from Kent State University.
