Huntington Bancshares Incorporated Decreases Its Prime Rate to 7.75 Percent

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- September 18, 2007 -- Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (Nasdaq: HBAN) announced that its prime rate is decreasing from 8.25% to 7.75% effective, September 19, 2007.

The rate was last changed on June 29, 2006 when Huntington increased its prime rate from 8.00% to 8.25%.
