Huntington Bank Ranks as #1 SBA Lender in Ohio and West Virginia

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- November 15, 2007 -- Huntington Bank has been ranked #1 in Small Business Administration (SBA) lending for the states of Ohio and West Virginia, Huntington announced today.

"Huntington is committed to helping small businesses grow," said Craig Street, National Director, SBA Lending, Huntington Bank. "Small businesses are vital to all of us. They provide about 75% of jobs in the United States and play a key role in keeping our communities vibrant. At Huntington, we know that SBA is a proven way to help businesses who might otherwise not be able to obtain the funds they need to invest in their businesses."

For the state of Ohio, Huntington was first among all SBA lenders with 707 loans for a total of $64.5 million lent. In West Virginia, Huntington was first among all SBA lenders in the state with 61 loans for a total of $5.6 million lent. The SBA rankings are based on the number of loans originated by banks from Oct. 1, 2006 to Sept. 30, 2007.

The announcement of Huntington's SBA rankings comes on the heels of Huntington's recent win of five Greenwich Associates awards for business banking customer service -- more than any other bank in Huntington's markets. These nationally known awards cited Huntington for Overall Customer Satisfaction, Branch Services, Cash Management Services and Online Services.
