PDSi Hires Industry-veteran Jeff Guerrero as Director of Product Management

Guerrero to lead development of new SPARC-based cPCI blade

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- December 16, 2008 -- Pinnacle Data Systems, Inc. (PDSi) (NYSE Alternext: PNS) today announced the addition of Jeffrey I. Guerrero to its Sales and Marketing team as Director of Product Management. Guerrero will steer PDSi’s ComputeNode™ CompactPCI ® (cPCI) product family which spans a range of chassis and compute blade offerings. In particular, he will drive development and launch of PDSi’s recently-announced Sun UltraSPARC ® T2-based cPCI blade, the CPT2-S1, which fills a void left in the market now that Sun Microsystems (Sun) has ceased production of all cPCI products.

Guerrero is uniquely qualified for this new role at PDSi. He joins PDSi following 9 years at Sun, where he was Senior Product Line Manager for their cPCI product line and was responsible for bringing to market some of its new AdvancedTCA ® products. Prior to that, Guerrero held several other leadership positions within Sun’s marketing organization. His earlier career highlights include technical and marketing roles at industry leading technology companies such as Mitsubishi Electronics America, Toshiba America Electronics, and National Semiconductor. In all, Guerrero brings over two decades of industry experience to PDSi.

Guerrero holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, with a minor in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley.
