COLUMBUS, Ohio -- November 18, 2004 -- State Auto Financial Corporation (NASDAQ:STFC) today announced that it will be a presenting company at the Friedman Billings Ramsey 11th Annual Investor Conference, to be held Nov. 30 through Dec. 1, 2004 at the Grand Hyatt in New York. Treasurer and CFO Steven Johnston will present an update on State Auto Financial Corporation on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2004, from 4:20 to 4:50 p.m. Eastern Time.
