THOUSAND OAKS, California -- October 31, 2007 -- Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) today announced the appointment of Rhett C. Ross as President of Teledyne Continental Motors, Inc., (Piston Engines), effective November 5, 2007. Ross, age 43, succeeds Bryan L. Lewis. Lewis will be retiring on February 1, 2008, after a distinguished 27-year career with Teledyne companies.

"I am pleased to announce Rhett's promotion," said Robert Mehrabian, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Teledyne Technologies. "Rhett has demonstrated strong leadership at our Energy Systems segment, doubling this segment's revenue over his seven-year tenure."

"I want to thank Bryan for his leadership of Teledyne Continental Motors, Inc.", added Mehrabian. "Bryan's innovative thinking and dedication have made Teledyne Continental Motors a premier provider of piston aircraft engines and control systems. I anticipate that Rhett will work closely with Bryan to assure a smooth leadership transition for our piston engine businesses."

Chris T. Kuehn, age 36, will replace Rhett Ross as President of Teledyne Energy Systems, Inc., effective November 5, 2007. Chris is currently the Vice President of Commercial Products, hydrogen generators, at Teledyne Energy Systems, having been with the company for seven years.
